Gisele, Natasha Poly, Lindsey Wixon on new I-D Covers

 {It’s NOT possible for a human to have better hair than Gisele}

{ I have never seen such perect eyeliner in my 25 years of life. This is my dream eyeliner. Natasha Poly.}

One of my favorite magazines in the entire editorial world, i-D, just released 4 of their 6 covers for the pre-Fall 2011 “Pick Me Up Issue.” I read the description of the issue and am so excited to get a copy:

The Pick Me Up Issue tells you how to get ahead in matters of the heart. We chat online dating with Kreayshawn, the pint-sized Californian rapper currently blowing up the i-D stereo, fast track you to a great first impression with the hottest trends from the autumn/winter 11 catwalks and prove that lippy goes a long way with Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough, photographed by Matt Jones. We take a trip to the Margate seaside with Ash and Aggy and Dr. Martens, and cross the pond to party in Pittsburgh with the bewitchingly wonderful Emma Watson. i-D’s former cover stars take inspiration from Louis Vuitton’s hotel-themed Paris show, and reveal their top tips for a sexy escape – next time don’t forget the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign Jourdan Dunn! Gisele indulges in a spot of roleplay styled by Edward Enninful and snapped by Emma Summerton, Natasha Poly makes something super beautiful with Olivier Rizzo and Willy Vanderperre and we get hot under the collar with Raquel Zimmermann.

I mean….they had me at Kreayshawn. That’s all I needed to see.

Terry Richardson took this photo of Lindsey Wixon smashing ice cream into her eye. It SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAMMMMMMMMMMSSSSS Terry Richardson. If you saw this and didn’t automatically know this was Terry Richardson, then you do not know who Terry Richardson is.

Very excited to see the remaining covers. The folks at i-D are all a bunch of artistic geniuses, if you can’t tell from these covers alone.

UPDATE: Kreayshawn is one of the covers!!! GOD I love her. Like BIGGEST fan. HOTHOT shit. I decide a few days ago I’m being her for Halloween. It will be worth it for the ONE human in the entire district of columbia who will know who she is.

Hot DAMN. Jennifer Lawrence for Flare Magazine

This is one of the sexiest covers I’ve seen in a long time. She looks SO. HOT. The girl has insane bone structure and if she were a lil taller, coulda been a runway model with her look. Massive massive props to whoever styled this cover….she looks absolutely banging in that cut-out criss-cross purple top (her boobs look particularly amazing), and the high-waisted orange satin skirt with the thick gold belt. I’m pretty sure it’s all Gucci. Wow-zers. She was also my favorite look at the Oscars way back when, in her super slinky sexy red Calvin Klein number that was MADE for her body, and her blonde bombshell Brigitte Bardot-hair. There was not a millimeter of that dress that wasn’t tailored to her figure. Girlfriend’s got a great stylist, I tell you one thing.

V Magazine

As I mentioned here, V magazine’s covers and editorials have always been some of my favorite in the whole magazine world. The models picked are always top notch [and my personal faves]: Abbey Lee, Daria, Natalia Vodianova, etc. The covers are just such works of art, and I love them especially because I am such a fan of neon. The photography is iconic, and the palettes used are bold and electric, except for the black + white Abbey Lee one which stood out for exactly that reason. I have even more respect for the artistic director behind the covers, because it was such a genius choice for that particular cover. She is so insanely stunning and unique that it would have taken away from her beauty to have her face framed by a neon orange V. I love V covers so much…I may end up getting framed copies of my favorite covers and making some sort of wall montage. Perhaps my favorite one ever though, is the Natalia Vodianova one. I just love the combination of the shades of purple and green and the photography and her child-like face and frazzled platinum blonde crimped hair. Each cover sitting on my coffee table  right now is like a little piece of pop art. Seriously– if you put ANY magazine on a table, V is going to be the best-looking one there. Not Purple, not Pop, not Nylon, not Jalouse, or W, or Vogue, or Elle, would compare. The only one that could even POSSIBLY rival the artistic genius and aesthetic of V covers, are Interview covers. But I don’t like the type of the word “Interview” used on those covers…it’s like a cursive. I like the bold, strong, graphic V. Scroll below and see for yourself.

Gisele

Daria- the rainbow V and the red “V <3 Daria” is pretty amazing

Kate Moss– a cover made very famous because of the Maison Martin Margiela blonde hair coat she was wearing

Natalia- I love the pink-purple ‘glow’ V here

An unusual black and white cover for Abbey Lee

And to give you a sample of a pretty sick [but still not as good as V] Interivew cover, this recent one of Rihanna was rad. Her lips and red hair and criss-cross glittery straps and blue drop earrings and aviators together with the flowers [and her new tattoo- rebel fleur] made for a pretty dope combo.

Dang

Amanda Seyfriend looks GOOD on the cover of the new Elle. I am not usually a fan of hers but this wowed me. Total bombshell with just the slightest cat eye. She’s wearing the candy-colored Prada dress that Hailee Steinfeld blew up when she wore it to the SAG awards.
